Belva Irene Stayer, 96, Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Eldorado Mobile Court, Altoona, died Friday at the home.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Joshua and Clyde (Leamer) Carothers. She married Robert Stayer, and he died in 1971.
Surviving are two daughters: Arlene A. Robert of Altoona and Janet C. Sherry of Hollidaysburg; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Belva retired in 1966 as an inventory clerk from Altoona Hospital after 15 years of service. She was an avid reader and an excellent homemaker and cook.
A funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
