STARR, Paula Mae Roestel(Age 70)- Entered into rest March 10, 1999 in Spokane. She was born on May 10, 1928, in Spokane. Mrs. Starr is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Dick Dixon, Salina, CO; son Rick Starr, Spokane, WA; five grandchildren, Jodi and John Quick, Salina, CO, April, Dustin, and Adam Starr, all of Spokane; sisters, Elvina Munk, Spokane, Elaine Munson, W. Richland, WA; brother, George Roestel, Spokane; and numerous nieces and nephews. A long time resident of Spokane, Mrs. Starr graduated from Rogers High School where she was head majorette. She was a professional dancer and dance instructor for tap dancing, ballet, acrobatic, and roller skating. Mrs. Starr began entertaining at the age of five and was known as "Spokane's Shirley Temple." She worked for the State of Washington from 1975 to 1981 in the CETA Program as a Clerk Typist lll. She attended Mountain View Assembly of God Church where she was involved with bible studies with Fountain Ministries. Mrs. Starr enjoyed music and fellowship at the Gospel Opry and was an avid prayer warrior involved in many prayer chains. Funeral service Friday, March 19, 1999 at 2 PM in the Alwin Chapel at HAZEN & JAEGER FUNERAL HOME, 1306 N. MONROE ST. Chaplain Keith Kirkingburg officiating. Interment at Riverside Memorial Park, Garden of Peace, N. 211 Government Way, following the service. Reception to follow in the sanctuary of Mountain View Assembly of God Church, 633 E. Magnesium Rd.
