She was born December 29, 1911 in Pocahontas to the late Frank and Allie Starling. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and was one of the first employees of Frolic Footwear. She was a member of Southwest Church of Christ.
She is survived by a son, John R. Davis of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband John W. Davis; two sons, Clifford E. Davis and Frank Davis; a daughter, Thelma Ruth Gibson.
A celebration of her life will be at 2.00 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2009 at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro with G. W. Allison and Ralph Wallis officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
