Trinity interment record Jan 22nd 1888
609 M St.
aged 69
''Friday 20th at 11:30 pm,609 M, after a short illness...wife of the late John Stahl.
Mass at St. Mary's Monday.

Maria Appolonia and parents were listed as being from Hesse - Kassel, Wurtemburg, [Germany ?] her dates were between 1814 - 1821 depending on various records D.C. Death Certificate lists 1819.Took a year to see faint markings looking like April etc then faint look near right edge ending in ''hl'' which help match the marker next to it, Barbara Stahl. Initially I couldn't figure out since it seemed to only say mother. Her marker also sits right next to the ''May'' Family which ''mother'' also seemed to be a possibility.
Turns out that there appears to be a family link to both May & Stahl but aren't certain what at this time. Census' until 1880 in Altoona Pa. & Washington D.C. seem to include Appolonia, Barbara, husband John Stahl and multiple May family members and ''sister in law'' appears to be included with either Phillip May 1816 - or his wife Mary Eliz 1819 -...Many May family members are right next to the Stahl's also She also appears as Mary and Abby in other census listings with her husband John. John may have died around 1880 due to her being listed as widow in D.C. census but not certain at this time where he might be beyond what appears to be an Altoona Pa. listing around that same time.
