Mrs. Alice Sprouse Antonette, 58, of DeBary Fla., died Tuesday morning, July 4 in Sanford Fla., hospital after an short illness. She was a nurse, a Madison County native, resided in Buncombe County for 40 years prior to moving to Florida four years ago. She was a daughter of the late Hezekiah and Mattie Cole Gahagan.
Surviving are the husband Louis J. Antonette; three daughters, Mrs. Patsy Anne Costanza of Chelsea, Mass., Mrs. Mildred DeGrazia of Franklin, Mass., and Mrs. Phyllis Elaine Mandello of Revere, Mass.; two sons, John of Asheville and Joe Sprouse of Chattanooga, Tenn; two brothers, Carl of Johnson City, Tenn., and Robert Gahagan of Asheville; and 13 grandchildren.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Andrew-Rice Funeral Home. The Rev. James Revis officiated. Burial in Green Hills Cemetery.
