Clara B. Babbitt 85, Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009. She was born October 31, 1924 in Indianapolis to Charles and Frances Springer. Clara was a secretary at Wishard Hospital for 32 years. She began her career in the school of nursing, eventually moving to the Infection Control Department, before her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard J. Babbitt on August 5, 1992; and her siblings, Charles, Catherine, Louise, Anna and Marie. She is survived by son Leonard J. Babbitt II (Pam); step-daughters, Loretta Babbitt (Steve Morgan), Therese Mann-Simpson (Philip); sisters, Betty and Grace; 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
