George W. Sprankle
George W. Sprankle died at his home in Alexandria on Thursday afternoon, August 16, 1945, at 3:55, after an illness of one and one-half years.
He was born in Alexandria on August 9, 1868, the son of Peter and Barbara (Winters) Sprankle, both deceased.
He is survied by his wife, Mary Whetstine Sprankle; two brothers, Harry Sprankle of Alexandria, and William Sprankle of Stanchfield, Minnesota; and one sister, Mrs. Annie Householder, of Alexandria.
Mr. Sprankle lived all his life in Alexandria where he followed the occupation of Carpenter. He was a member of the Christ Evangelical and Reformed Church Alexandria.
Funeral services will be held at the late home on Sunday afternoon, August 19, 1945, at 2:30. The Rev. O. H. Sensenig will officiate. Interment will be in Alexandria Cemetery. Friends may call at the late home after 6:00 p.m. today. Temple's funeral service.
