Rosa came to America with her mother Theresa and brother Frank in November 1903 after sailing from Bremen Germany on the Kaiser Wilhelm 2. The family settled in Philadelphia.Her father John arrived in July 1903.In 1907 she married Engelbert C. Spevak and a daughter Hilda was born in Philadelphia in 1908, after living in Phila for a few years the family moved to Secane, then Milmont Park where Son Harry, daughters Bertha, Alva, Son Alfred, Daughters, Catherine and Aileen were born. Rose was wonderful mother and friend. She was a very good cook and baker. She made everything fron scratch. Her Struddles, pies cakes with the butter icing are still being talked about.She loved to crochet and knit. She liked many flowers, Roses being her favorite.
Until the day she left us she prayed for all her children and grand children, etc.
