Chesapeake - Anna Spencer Smith, 65, of the 1500 block of Jolliff Rd. passed away on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013 in her residence. She was born on May 17, 1948 in Portsmouth to the late Craig and Kathryn Spencer. Anna was a real lady and woman of God, who loved being outdoors caring for her yard and garden.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Forrest B. Smith; her daughter, Crystal E. Barfoot and her husband Larry; two sons, Brian Smith and wife Robin and Jason Smith; and eight grandchildren, Heather, Austin, Kassidy, Abby, Jenna, Ashtin, Brianna and Leah.
A funeral service will be Wednesday, Sept. 25, conducted by Rev. Tom Potter. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Providence Place, Arcadia Health Care and Gentiva Home Health & Hospice for all their care and support.
