Mrs. Anderson was born March 22, 1927 in LaGrange, GA to the late James L. Smith and Nola Burk South. She was retired from the Department of Corrections as a secretary after 25 years of service. Mrs. Anderson was affiliated with the Jimmy Wesley Smith Ministries, Inc. and First United Methodist Church of Gatlinburg, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kay W. Anderson, Sr. and her son, K.W. "Andy" Anderson.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Diane Anderson of Five Points, AL; sister-in-law, Betty South of LaGrange, GA; step grandchildren, Dana (Scott) Robertson, Darrell (Claire) Jones, and Gary Jones; seven step great grandchildren, three step great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held 3:00PM Monday, December 7, 2015 in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.
