Mary (Soukup) Brandejsky married Jerry Brandejsky in Kansas and they returned to Klamath. They both worked for the Hilyards for some months before purchasing acreage near Spring Lake. They farmed this land until Mary's death in June 1977.

Mary Magdeline Brandejsky, 73, long-time Klamath County resident, died Tuesday following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Ellsworth, Kansas, Sept. 22, 1903 to a family of 11 children.

In January 1934, in Ellsworth she married her husband, Jerry, who survives. The couple moved to the Klamath Basin shortly thereafter.

Mrs. Brandejsky was a registered nurse, having graudated from St. Johns in Salina, Kan. However, she was instrumental in assisting her husband with the family farm throughout her adult life in the Spring Lake area.

She wa a member of the Farm Bureau and Klamath Production Credit Association.

In addition to her widower, she is survived by a daughter, Betty Emmert, Klamath Falls; sisters, Barbara Jiricek, Cecilia Wamhoff, and Anna Jiricek, all of Ellsworth, Kan.; and brothers, Charles Soukup, and Arthur Soukup and Emil Soukup.
