MILLARD SOTHERS
Millard Laverne Sothers, youngest son of Elmer and Clara Sothers was born April 27, 1909 near Courtland and died February 25, 1971 at the age of 61 years, 9 months and 25 days.
He was a member of the Courtland United Methodist church. His schooling was at Center Grade school and Courtland high school.
December 31, 1930 he was united in marriage to Edith Mitchell. to this union three children were born.
His life was spent farming in the Courtland community.
He was preceded in death by one brother, and his parents.
Survivors are: his wife; children, Mrs. Joyce Mikesell of Courtland, Richard of Courtland, Mrs. Marian Hallgrimson of Bassett, Neb.; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Tebow of Corpus Christi, Tex., Mrs. Ted nelson, Las Cruses, N. Mexico., Mrs. Maurice Place, Tuscon, Ariz.; brother, Elder of Courtland.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 25 at the Courtland Untied Methodist church with the Rev. Don Wilson officiating. Burial was in the Washington cemetery northeast of Republic.
