BRISTOL, Va. Audra Pauline McCracken, age 84, passed away on Dec. 21, 2012, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born in Bristol, Va., a daughter to the late Robert and Emma Fleenor Sorah. Audra was a former employee of Big Jack Manufacturing and L.C. King Company. She was a member of Gum Hill Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Branson McCracken; children, Michael and Sandra McCracken; brothers, Clint and Fred Sorah; and a sister, Leona Neely. Survivors include children, Randy McCracken, Jeff McCracken and Mark McCracken and wife, Wilma; grandchildren, Mark Hayden McCracken Jr. and wife, Tina, Ashleigh Nicole McCracken, Jamie McCracken, Jason McCracken, Michael McCracken and David Cannon Jr.; brother, Jack Sorah; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Gum Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Ball officiating. Pallbearers include Jeffrey Heath, Robert Leonard, Jackie Sorah Jr., David Cannon, Mark H. McCracken Jr., and Bill Tolbert. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Weaver Funeral Home.
