Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011 at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott for Eunice Domingue, 92, who passed away peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2011 at her daughter's residence in Scott surrounded by her family.
Entombment will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Mausoleum.
Reverend Thomas Voorhies, Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be three of her great grandchildren, Kristen Gilbert, Katherine LeBlanc and Carolyn LeBlanc. Giftbearers will be her six great grandchildren, Kristen Gilbert, Katherine LeBlanc, Carolyn LeBlanc, Zachary Fuselier, Jacob LeBlanc and Nicholas Fuselier.
Phyllis Simar accompanied by Charlotte Jagneaux will sing for the services, "Amazing Grace", "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman", "Just A Closer Walk With Thee", and "How Great Thou Art".
Survivors include her beloved husband of 73 years, Easton Domingue; her daughter, Shirleen D. LeBlanc; her three grandchildren, Chris LeBlanc and his wife, Vicki Nettles LeBlanc, and their three children, Katherine, Carolyn and Jacob LeBlanc; Amelian LeBlanc Fuselier and her husband, Patrick Fuselier, and their three children, Kristen Gilbert, Zachary Fuselier and Nicholas Fuselier; and Lane LeBlanc, all of Scott; as well as her sister-in-law, Mrs. Antoine "Enola" Lantier of Scott; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elie "Greo" Sonnier and the former Cecile Lacy, both natives of the Ossun community and Scott area; one son-in-law, Patrick LeBlanc; six brothers, Leo, Leon, Alphe, Alexson, Dalton and Early Sonnier; and eight sisters, Mrs. Jean Elinor "Philomene" Lantier, Mrs. David "Bella" Lanerie, Mrs. [Mrs. Raoul "Ita" Bowers [Bower], Mrs. Adrien "Milda" Guidry, Mrs. Aristide "Lydia" Roger, Mrs. Lidley "Loretta" Dugas, Mrs. Clence "Verna Mae" Ancelet and Mrs. C.J. "Mildred" Delhomme.
Mrs. Domingue, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, also known as "Eune", "Tante", or "Mom", was a native of the Ossun community and lifelong resident of the Scott area. She was a member of the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Altar Society, St. Anne Society and a parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
Pallbearers will be Chris LeBlanc, Lane LeBlanc, Patrick Fuselier, her Godchild, Ewell Sonnier, her nephew, Darrell Richard, and her nephew-in-law, Glenn Lanclos. Honorary pallbearers will be three of her great grandchildren, Zachary Fuselier, Jacob LeBlanc and Nicholas Fuselier.
The family is forever grateful for the many years spent with their beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Martin & Castille - Scott, 802 Alfred Street, Scott, Louisiana was in charge of services.
