Jennings - Funeral services for Mrs. Harold (Nora) Parsons, 71, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday. July 1 from our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Kaimalayil will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 2:30 to 10 p.m., today, June 30 with a rosary at 7 p.m. and will continue from 8 a.m. Sunday.
Mrs. Parsons died at 7:02 p.m. Thursday in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of the Jennings area and a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors are her husband; three sons, Richard & Lewis Parsons, both of Jennings and Rickey Parsons of Welsh; one daughter. Mrs. Daniel (Carmen) Leger of Roanoke, three sisters, Mrs. Winnie McFarlain of Evangeline, Mrs. Florence Simon of Jennings and Mrs. Clifton (Lucy) Fontenot of Welsh, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
