Eileen J. Sonnenberg, 81, of Sterling, died April 26, 2008, in Commerce City. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Michelle D. Witherspoon officiating. Services will conclude at the church.
Mrs. Sonnenberg was born June 4, 1926, to Samuel and Anna (Lingle) Maust in Lawrence, Kan. She graduated from high school in Hutchinson, Kan. She was a homemaker.
On Feb. 11, 1954, she married Byron Sonnenberg in Sterling.
Mrs. Sonnenberg was a member of Orpheus, Beta Sigma Phi sorority, Agape, bell choir, bridge clubs and the Cooperating Ministry. She enjoyed music, playing bridge, gardening, dancing and her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Byron Sonnenberg of Sterling; stepson, Steven Engleman of Littleton; daughters, Sandee Warzabluk of Colorado Springs and Joyce Quinn of Commerce City; sons, Mark Sonnenberg of St. Louis, Mo., and Albert Sonnenberg of Boise, Idaho; and nine grandchildren.
