Luetta Arps, 94, of Deshler passed away Wednesday, July 30, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, Ohio.
She was born June 25, 1920, in Napoleon to the late Fred and Rosa (Bischoff) Sonnenberg. On December 28, 1941, she married Edmund H. Arps, who preceded her in death on July 23, 1974. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Alfred and Lawrence Sonnenberg.
Luetta worked for the former Koppenhofer Brothers/IMCO Poultry in Deshler for 24 years. In retirement she enjoyed reading, crocheting, quilting, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Deshler.
She is survived by her children, Elroy (Shirley) Arps of Wauseon, Ohio; Eldon (Beverly) Arps of Maumelle, Arkansas; Elaine (Bruce) Lammon of Whitehouse, Ohio; and Eileen (Kevin) Mantel of Upper Arlington, Ohio; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Luetta is also survived by her sisters-in-law Esther Bergman of Deshler and Harriet (Raymond) Schroeder of Okolona.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 220 West Elm Street, Deshler. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Deshler.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, 133 East Maple Street, Deshler, and from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
