Jack Soltis, 52, of Liverpool died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center.
He was born in Syracuse and was a life resident of the Syracuse area.
Mr. Soltis was employed by Carrier Corp., where he worked 28 years. He was a member of the Carrier Recreation Club.
He was a member of the Syracuse Chargers Running Club. He participated in the Boston Marathon and other running events, receiving 25 awards.
Mr. Soltis was a Navy veteran.
Surviving are three daughters, Jacqueline Frey of Oklahoma, Natalie Bova of Camillus and Jennine Soltis of Maryland; a son, Jonathan of Clay; a sister, Cathy Mayer of Clay; two grandsons; and three nieces.
Services are 9 a.m. Thursday at the Hollis Funeral Home and 9:30 in Sacred Heart Church. Burial is in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Onondaga Hill.
