Anella R. Snyder, 73, she died on Nov. 8, 2007 in Billings, Mont., after a long battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia, sleep apnea and other complications.

She was born in Casper on March 20, 1934 to Ralph and Hester (Mills) Currence. She was raised in Casper, spending many summers in Ten Sleep during her youth with her grandparents, Harry and Grace Mills.

She was married on Dec. 26, 1956 in Casper to Henry "Hank" Snyder. They made their home in Worland after marriage until 1965, when the family moved back to Casper where they lived until 1978. They moved back to Ten Sleep where they owned and operated the Circle S Motel and Gas Station from 1978 through 1996. She had lived in Ten Sleep since 1978.

She loved music and poetry and cooking. She was the hub of her family, keeping family and friends connected. She was sensitive to others, especially those in need. Church was a large priority in her life. She lived her faith. She was dedicated to quality of life for all her family, especially Ralph and Grace.

She was involved with Special Olympics, Ten Sleep Senior Fellowship, Cemetery Board Member; she was an active member of the Mountain View Assembly of God Church in Ten Sleep and was a past member of the First Christian Church in Casper.


She is survived by her husband, four children, Cheryl Bjornsrud and her husband, Alvin Snyder, Grace Snyder-Nelson and Dan Snyder and his wife, three siblings; Nancy McIntyre, Mary Jo Hardy and his wife and Roy Currence and his wife, seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Ralph Snyder and brother-in-law, Joe McIntyre.

Burial was in the Ten Sleep Cemetery.
