BARBERTON -- Donald "Don" Ivan Snyder, 84, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012, at his residence with his family at this side.

He was born June 7, 1928, to the late William Curtis Snyder and Celia Ruth Snyder (nee Snyder). A life resident of Barberton, Don was a U.S. Army veteran stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He worked auto body and fender repair at Mudri Motors and Sales, W&M Motors and Barberton Autocraft before retiring in 1993. He was a founding and faithful member of Barberton Evangelical Friends Church.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Dona L. Snyder (nee Butler); brothers, Elden, Lawrence, Duane Sr., Emerson and Keith; sisters, Evelyn Snyder and Arlene Allgood; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Thomas and Mary Ellen Butler. Don is survived by his children, Denise (David) Forshee and Donald (Terry) Snyder; grandson, Michael (Desaray) Forshee and great-grandchildren; sister, Nadine Snyder; many nieces and nephews. Don also had many dear friends.

The family wishes to extend a very special "Thank You" to the Summa Hospice Services and Palliative Care for the compassionate care Donald received.Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203, with Pastor Thomas Showalter officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling hours TONIGHT, 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Barberton Evangelical Friends Church, 277 Robinson Ave., Barberton 44203 or the , 525 N.
