Obituary published in Woodstown, NJ newspaper "The Monitor-Register" on 11 May 1900:
"Martha A. Snelbaker, widow of George Snelbaker, died at the residence of her grandson, Mr. William B. Snelbaker, on Dickinson Street, on Tuesday evening, in the 83rd year of her age. The infirmities of years had begun to rest quite heavily upon her, yet she continued active and cheerful, until last week, when she was stricken with paralysis of the brain, which affected the heart, and she gradually failed until death came. She had been a member of the Methodist Church for some sixty-seven years and died in the confident love of a blissful eternity. The funeral takes place this morning, and will be conducted by Rev. Edward Mount, pastor of the M.E. Church, and assisted by Rev. Mr. Lloyd, of Swedesboro."
