Mable Smith Barlow - age 84, passed away in Flower Mound, TX on Saturday, February 12, 2011. She was born in Perry County, AL, but was a long time resident of Mobile, AL. She was the eldest child of the late Dorman Smith, Sr., and the late Lucy G. Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband, Frank L. Barlow, Sr.; sister, Irma Rhodena Smith; and brothers, James Smith and Dorman Smith, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories two devoted children, Delores Walker and Frank L. Barlow, Jr.; four grandchildren, Bernard Walker, Tonya Barlow, Francesca Barlow, and Allan Walker; siblings, Ossie (Alfred) July, Doris (Thomas) Wooding, Dotris Smith, Carl Smith, John (Ann) Smith, Leslie (Berdie) Smith, and Billie E. Smith; one devoted son-in-law, Herman Walker and a devoted former daughter-in-law, Brenda Barlow; four sisters-in-law, Eleanor Hamilton of Dallas, TX, Sallie B. Monroe of Mobile, Octavia Barlow of Las Vegas, NV, and Earnestine Barlow of Atlanta, GA; special friends, Mrs. Hilda Gewin and Deacon Joe and Sister Wanda Young; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and god children. Funeral services will be held from New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church on Old Shell Road on Monday, February 21, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at the church.
