Stella's Loving husband called her "Skeeter"
***
Stella June Smith lost her Father before her 7th year of life.
Before she turned 10 years of age, she had also lost her Mother.
Thankfully, Stella's Mama had remarried shortly after the death of her husband (Richard~Stella's Father).
This gave Stella & the other siblings a parent to love them & would take care of them.
I am sure the early years of her life formed the woman Stella would one day be.

She understood the meaning of compassion.

That must be why she decided to become a nurse.

She graduated nursing school in 1927, she was such a carrying & educated nurse that all the Doctors that worked with her would actually ask what she thought about certain treatments for patients.

Stella June Smith became the Bride of William Lawrence Agee Jr. on 15 June 1927, and later they became loving parents.
And soon, they became Grandparents.

She is my NeeNee, that wonderful, loving, caring Lady that showed her love & through that, her love & ways are still carried on.
To this day, I love & miss her.

This is a Poem that Skeeter gave to her Loving husband on their 1st Wedding Anniversary
~15 June 1928~
This pretty much describes their life together.

Pal of My Heart

True to me, kind to me, never deceiving;
Cheering me, helping me, ever believing;
Sad for me, glad for me, never apart;
Dear to me, near to me,
Pal of My Heart.
Clean-hearted, strong-hearted,
All the way thru;
Uplifting and tender,
Wonderful You !
Fair to me, square to me,
Life's dearest part,~
Best to me, blest to me,
Pal of My Heart.
