Helma L. Acord, 64, passed away April 21, 1999 at Akron General Medical Center.

She was born April 20, 1935 in Sullivan, W. Va. and was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Orval; daughters and son-in-law, Linda Acord, Patricia and Robert Pritchard; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Patricia Acord, Michael & Sallianne Acord; sisters, Geraldine Gosney, Anna Mae Malone, Carol Zarycki; brother, Harry Vaughn Smith; grandchildren, OJ, Sheri, Rianna, Chrystal, Jessica, Abbey, Dustin and Taylor. She was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy in 1993.

Friends may call TODAY from 5 to 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. (at Gilchrist Rd.), where funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. Interment Monday at 1 p.m. in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley, W. Va.(NEWCOMER-FARLEY, 784-3334.)
