Betty Ann Smith Dangerfield, 82, of Odessa passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at her home. She was born September 12, 1932 in Mexia, TX to Relford & Cora Smith. She graduated from Woodland High School and attended A & M College in pursuit of her business degree. She had worked for Odessa Regional Hospital for 23 years as an admitting clerk. She was a Baptist.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Vanessa Harris; sisters, Lauretta Della Carter and Joyce Rose Taultan; brothers, Billy Gene Smith, Relford Smith Jr. & Sammy Ray Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin C. Dangerfield of Odessa; son, Erwin Ray Medlock & wife Val of Abilene; daughters, Debra Ann Pride & husband Bob, Veretta Garcia & husband Antonio, all of Odessa; brother, James Smith & wife Stephanie of Mexia, TX; sisters, Edna Denson & husband Sam of Dallas, Mable Lewis of Dallas; (15) grandchildren; (17) great-grandchildren.
Interment at Ector County Cemetery Peaceful Garden section.
