Wagoner: Funeral services for Alva L. Smith, 67, of Wagoner, OK, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Mallett Chapel with interment to be in Pioneer cemetery. Services are being directed by Mallett Funeral Home. Mr. Smith was born Dec. 25, 1921, in Wagoner, and died Sunday in Wagoner community Hospital.(March 5, 1989) He was a longtime resident of Wagoner and retired shop superintendent for Eastern Equipment. Co. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, of the home; a son, Alva M. Smith, of Wagoner;a daughter, Leanna Hughes, of Wagoner; three brothers, James Smith, Robert and Floyd, all of Wagoner; a sister, Ruby Compassi of Muskogee; and five grandchildren.
