Lillian M. Danz, 86, of Pekin, formerly of East Peoria and Elmwood, passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, in Pekin, Ill.
Born Feb. 12, 1923, in Peoria to Archie and Ida (Andrews) Smith, she married Arthur W. Danz on Sept. 20, 1942, in Palmyra, Mo. He preceded her in death on May 19, 1988.
Surviving are her children, Margaret (Dale) Coulter of Elmwood, Donald (Karen) Danz of South Bend, Ind., and Michael (Linda) Danz of Pekin, Ill.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, William Charles Danz; and a brother, William Charles Smith of California.
Lillian was a meat inspector for the Illinois Department of Agriculture. She enjoyed gardening, reading and crochet.
Lillian was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church.
A private family interment service will be conducted at a later date.
