Mrs. Pauline Smith Hilburn, 91, of Plain Dealing, LA died Sunday morning, August 9, 1992 at Humana Hospital in Springhill, LA following a long illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 11, at 2pm at the Plain Dealing Baptist Church, with Rev. Don Roberts and Rev. James Carson officiating. Burial followed in the Plain Dealing Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Plain Dealing.
Mrs. Hilburn was a native of Bienville Parish and a lifelong resident of this area. She was a member of the Plain Dealing Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Ollie Hilburn, in 1959; by two sons, Reece Hilburn in 1987 and Wilford Hilburn in 1962, and by a daughter, Clariece Hamiter, in 1982.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. LeErma White, Springhill, LA; Mrs. Ethelene Harris, Plain Dealing, LA; and Mrs. Lorene Rachel, Shreveport, LA; two sons, JMr. James M. Hilburn and Mr. David M. Hilburn, both of Plain Dealing, LA; 31 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great-grandchildren, and a daughter-in-lawy, Mrs. Parlee Hilburn, Plain Dealing, LA.
