Rose M. "Rosie" Carbaugh, of Edgegrove, entered into Heavenly slumber April 19 in York.

She was the daughter of the late Bernard E. and Mary Rose Neiderer Smith.

Mrs. Carbaugh was a 1954 graduate of Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown. She was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove.

She was the wife of Thomas G. Carbaugh for 50 years and surviving, in addition to him, are four sons, Thomas J. Carbaugh of Hanover, David J. Carbaugh of Abbottstown, Anthony M. Carbaugh of New Oxford, and Daniel M. Carbaugh of McSherrystown; one daughter, Michele M. Gladfelter of Virginia; 11 grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert B. Smith and Arnold J. Smith, both of Hanover; and two sisters, Sandra Smith of CO and Kathleen Brown of Spring Grove.

She was preceded in death by one son, Michael A. Carbaugh.
