Milton Smith 90, Dies Last Night;
Rites Tomorrow

Milton (Dick) Smith of 1211 North Ninth Street died at 8:15 last night at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was 90 years, three months and three days of age.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the East Side Baptist church. The Rev. _____ Dorris will officiate and burial will be in Williams Cemetery.

The body will be removed from the Osborne Funeral Home in Dix to the home of Robert C. Smith of 1607 South Tenth Street, where friends may call after 6:00 p.m. today.

Mr. Smith was born December 6, 1863, the son of Daniel and Barbara Ellen (Wade) Smith. In 1886 he was married to Mary F. Scott who preceded him in death in 1936. He was a member of the East Side Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Robert of Gould, Fla; a daughter, Mrs. Alva Merritt of St. Louis, 19 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren. Two sons and a daughter preceded him in death.
