Nancy, was the fourth of five children born to the union of Mattie Donaldson-Woolard and the Late Samuel Louis Woolard. At a young age she acknowledged Christ as her personal Savior which set her on a course of doing wonderful things. Nancy, was a graduate of Lehman College and pursued a career in Public Service. She was employed by the New York City Human Resources Administration for over thirty years. As a Public Servant she assisted so many families in receiving a host of social services that aided their hardships thus enriching their lives. Since 1991, she served as the Deputy Director in the Homelessness Division Program. As a result of her commitment and accomplishments in aiding others, Nancy was the recipient of the prestigious Sloan Public Service Award by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Without a doubt, Nancy had performed her duties with creativity, brilliance, competence and compassion. Sadly, her loss has affected the lives of her family, friends and co-workers deeply but her spirit continues to live on by the way she conducted her life. Yes, Nancy, was truly a blessing from God and may HE continue to hold her in his care.
