BARBER, Laura Marie, age 89 of Farmington, died suddenly March 25, 2014, at Botsford Continuing Health Center in Farmington Hills.
Marie was born November 14, 1924, in Roseville, Michigan, the daughter of Walter and Helen (Bensette) Slusser. She married Frank D. Barber on April 14, 1944, in Bastrop, TX.
Marie is survived by her beloved husband of almost 70 years, Frank; devoted children, Judith (Michael) McMahon, Frank Jr. (Marie), Joanne (Dennis) Griffin and John (Anna); dear sister, Helen Saxton; six grandchildren, and one great- grandson.
The Barbers will receive guests at the funeral home on Sunday, March 30th, from 2-8 pm, with 7 pm prayers.
Marie's funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, March 31st, 10:00 am (in state 9:30 am) at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 23615 Power Rd., Farmington.
Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, will take place Tuesday, April 1st.
Memorial tributes suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
