Obituary:
Mrs. Mina S. Ansley died at her home in Bellona on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 1960. She was 91 years of age. Born in Wyoming County, she was the daughter of Mathew and Hannah Denman Simpson, and was the widow of Willard Ansley, who died in 1909.
A descendant of the Denman and Coddington families, pioneer settlers of Ithaca, she moved with her parents to Seneca County as a baby and to Bellona when she was eight years old. She was a member of the Bellona Memorial Church for 79 years., where she was a ruling elder. Mrs. Ansley was an honorary life member of the Presbyterian Board of Foreign Missions.
Survivors include one son, Lawrence D. Ansley of Bellona; a sister, Mrs. Emma Simpson Beattie of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Richard and Jeanie Ansley at home; four nieces and nephews.
