Helen Elizabeth Simons, 24, of Dallas passed away August 9, 1996 in Fort Worth following an automobile accident.

She was born April 23, 1972 in Cincinnati, Ohio to James K. and Dale Coe Simons. She was a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, and was currently employed as an Assistant Buyer of Designer Shoes, and part of the Executive Management Training Program for Neiman-Marcus in Dallas.

She is survived by her parents, Dr. James K. and Dale Coe Simons of Austin; by her maternal grandmother, Helen Cates Neary of Bay City; by two brothers, John Simons of Austin and Dr. Bryan Simons and his wife, Traci of Dallas; and by one nephew, Zachery Simons of Longview.

Funeral services were held at 11 a. m. Monday, August 12, 1996 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Longview, Texas with The Very Reverend Dr. Michael C. Macey, Dr. W. D. O'Neal and Chaplain Tim Herron officiating. Graveside services were held at 10 a. m. Tuesday, August 13, 1996 at the Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City with Rev. Nick Novak officiating.

Local arrangements were with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City.
