Born and raised in Cedarhurst, Long Island, Jayne was the daughter of the late Sy and Roz Neches.
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin in 1970, Jayne embarked on a long career in the music industry.
Jayne's career spanned several decades beginning as a disc jockey in Chicago at WYEN in 1971 -- a time when radio was traditionally a male dominated profession.
Soon after, A&M relocated her to Los Angeles, where she began her tenure in the record business with the A&M family from 1976 to 1989.
Jayne continued as a pioneer in the music industry, holding positions as General Manager at Zoo Entertainment, SVP Sales at Geffen Records, SVP Sales & Marketing for MCA, and in 2007 formed her own company, Artist Garage, with Mike Regan.
During her career, Jayne worked with artists such as Herb Alpert, Janet Jackson, Styx, Mary J. Blige, Sting (solo), Police, Aerosmith, Guns n Roses, Nirvana, and Elton John.
Jayne met her husband, Norm, in 1982 and lived in Marina del Rey until they began living full-time in Park City, Utah in 2008.
In Park City, Jayne remained involved with music working with the Park City Jazz Foundation. She also learned to snow ski and play golf, which became her passions.
Jayne - wife, step-mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who was loved dearly by everyone who met her - is survived by husband, Norm; her brother, Bob (Mimi); son, Michael, daughter, Cami, and son-in-law, Morris; grandchildren, Jensen, Dustin, Chase, Gregory, and Sydney; brother-in-law, Roger (Diane); dog, Magic; and all her loving family and friends.
