Denise (Simmons) Balla, age 46, died tragically on April 20, 2008 at her home in Garnet Valley, Bethel Twp, PA.

Denise was raised and educated in Upper Chichester Twp. where she has resided most of her life. She was a graduate of Padua Academy High School in Wilmington, DE. Denise was a nuclear medicine technician working at Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD, Sacred Heart Hospital, Chester, Omega Nuclear Diagnostic Center, Newark,DE, Hopewell Radiology Group,Princeton, NJ, Jennersville Regional Hospital, West Grove, Cardiac Diagnostic Center, Wilmington, DE, and Roxborough Memorial Hospital. Denise was a devoted and extremely active mom, living her life by enjoying her son and his activities in school and ice hockey. She enjoyed spending time with her family, taking trips to Myrtle Beach, SC, and dancing. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Aston. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and sister.

She was the daughter of the late Frank R. and Mildred R. Aminto Simmons. She is survived by 1 son, Dominic J. Balla at home; 2 brothers, Frank J. Simmons Sr. "Jim" of Springfield and Michael A. Simmons of Garnet Valley; 1 nephew, Frank J. Simmons, Jr.; and many cousins.

Funeral Mass will be held Friday April 25, at 11 am at St. Joseph Church, 3255 Concord Road, Aston. Visitation, Friday from 8:30-10:15 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA. Burial, Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Linwood, PA.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Dominic J. Balla Benefit fund C/O Commerce Bank, 657 Conchester Highway, Boothwyn, PA 19061.
