Mildred Louise Silver, 84, of Highway 293, Cartersville, Georgia, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013.

Mrs. Silver was born December 16, 1928 in Cherokee County and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. She raised her ten children and many more. Everyone called her "Granny".

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall Bell and Marie (Evans) Bell-Garrett, three sons, David, Robert and Marvin Silver and a granddaughter, Vivian Edwards.

Surviving is her husband, Murl Silver of Cartersville, seven children, Danny and Carol Silver of Emerson, Patsy Wilson, Brenda and Danny Gossett, Vickie and Donald Collum, Dennis and Patricia Silver, Gail and Larry Edwards, all of Cartersville, Tammy and Rodney Craig of Adairsville, two sisters, Margie Brooks of Cartersville, Carolyn Payne of Canton, 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 19 great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 18, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Rev. David Baker and Rev. Butch Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00-9:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Eddie and Tony Lingerfelt, Michael and Daniel McIntyre, Matt Gossett, Travis Collum, Scott Edwards and Austin Craig.
