Betsy Hahn Regar Bourland Silber, 76, died on 7-27-2002 in Tampa. She is survived by her son, Michael Regar; a daughter, Nancy Jane Regar; step-son, Dr. John R. Silber, Seattle Washington; a sister, Nancy Hahn(Jerry) Fogarty, Tampa. She is predeceased by her parents, Fred and Ethel Monroe Hahn and husband, John W. Silber. She was born in NYC, but was raised and attended public schools in Tampa, graduating from Plant High. She attended Florida State College for Women, graduated from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and later earned a Master's degree at the University of Florida. She was an educator in Hillsborough County, beginning her teaching career at Lanier Elementary and was a guidance counselor at Coleman Jr. High, Leto and Gaither High Schools.
