Private family services will be held for lifetime Yamhill County resident Joyce B. Showalter of McMinnville. Interment in the Masonic Cemetery also will be private.
Mrs. Showalter died March 28, 2000, in Oakwood Country Place, McMinnville. She was 84.
Born June 6, 1915, she was the daughter of Henry and Florence Gibbon. She grew up and went to school in Dayton. As a young girl, she worked in the fields picking berries.
She and Morris Showalter were married in the mid-1930s.
Mrs. Showalter had lived in McMinnville for 23 years. She enjoyed growing flowers and raising animals.
Survivors include two nephews and a niece.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and a sister.
Arrangements are under the direction of Macy & Son Funeral Directors, McMinnville.
