Kilbourne, IL - Gladys Lucille Shores, 89, of 217 N. Fifth St. died at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1997, at her home.
Born Feb. 20, 1908, in Kilbourne to Harry Eugene and Emma Pearl Ruggles McWhorter, she married Harold Franklin Shores on Aug. 5, 1925, in Havana. He died Feb. 21, 1975.
One son, Harold, two brothers, one sister, one grandson and one great-granddaughter also preceded her in death.
Surviving are three daughters, Bonnie Kehoe of Peoria, Iris McCoy of Kilbourne and Gloria Carlson of Richmond, Va.; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be in Kilbourne Cemetery. The Rev. Ken Wagstaff will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Hurley Funeral Home, Havana.
