A graveside service will be held Saturday at noon in Union Forge United Methodist Church Cemetery in Edinburg.
Mr. Shoop was born Oct. 6, 1931, in Dauphin, Pa., son of Clarence and Harriet Geiger Shoop. He was an Army veteran and retired from Walter Reed Army Hospital.
Surviving is a daughter, Heather Shoop; two sisters, Ann Shoop and Mary Thompson, both of Highspire, Pa.; and two brothers, Jim Shoop of Harrisburg, Pa., and Bill Shoop of Goose Creek, S.C.
Arrangements are being handled by the Valley Funeral Service Bowmans Crossing.
