Mrs. Pearl (SHOEMAKER) BOYER SELLERS, 82, died Sunday at 6 a.m. in her home, 824 Franklin avenue, after a year's illness.
Born Dec. 10, 1884, in Kosciusko county, she was the daughter of John and Mary SMITH SHOEMAKER. She had lived 13 years in Rochester, moving from Akron.
Her first marriage was in 1903 to Thomas BOYER, who died in 1938. She was married in 1947 to Virgil SELLERS, who survives. Mrs. Sellers attended the Akron Church of God.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. William (Willodean) MYERS, Mishawaka; Mrs. Eldon (Maxine) MYERS, Plymouth, and Mrs. Claude (Ethel) MASTELLER, R.R. 1, Rochester; two sons, Arthur BOYER, North Manchester, and David BOYER, Chicago; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, and four brothers, Arthur SHOEMAKER, Akron; Fred SHOEMAKER, Lincoln, Neb.; Floyd SHOEMAKER, Wabash, and Donald SHOEMAKER, Warsaw. Preceding in death were a son, Everett BOYER, and two sisters.
Last rites will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster & Good funeral home with the Rev. J. D. THOMASON officiating. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
