Marilyn Jayne Sherwood Scott, our loving wife, mother and sister was called home suddenly on July 22, 1992.

Born March 31, 1950 in Salt Lake to Commander Gordon Alvin and AnnaDe Ogilvie Sherwood. Married Dean E. Scott on June 20, 1974; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Educated in Salt Lake City Schools. Graduated cum laude from the University of Utah with a masters degree in Home Economics and Consumer Studies. Taught and was presently teaching at West High School. Very creative in crafts, needlepoint, decorating and she loved to shop.Survived by her husband, Dean; two daughters, Brittany Nicole and Jennifer Josephine, all Salt Lake; sisters, Janice S. Budd, Sandy, Utah; Deanna S. Morgan, Houston, Texas; aunt and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Harold N. McDonald, Dr. O. Edward Ogilvie, all Salt Lake; and Dr. Robert W. Ogilvie, St. Louis, Missouri.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 25th, at 12:00 noon in the Monument Park 9th Ward (1565 South Foothill Blvd.) Friends may call at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the Ward on Saturday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m.

Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
