Mrs. Lilah Counts, 82, died at her home near Elkins Saturday at 1 p.m., after an extended illness. She was born in West Fork April 21, 1868, the daughter of Calvin and Susan White Sherry. She was the widow of the late E. A. Counts, Church of Christ minister who died in 1938.

Survivors include one son, Julian of Elkins; one step-son, Paul of Elkins; three daughters, Mrs. Ella Ratliff and Mrs. Laveda Ratliff of Durham, and Mrs. Ollie Ballard of Riverside, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. R. L. Gholson of Muskogee, Okla., and Mrs. Betty True of Clarkston, Wash.; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Mt. Olive Church by Guy H. Couch, Church of Christ minister. Burial was in the Mt. Olive cemetery.

Pallbearers were Russell and Jerry Dyke, Burl Dean Bell, Arthur Huntley, Everett Counts, and Roy Ballard.
