Born in Mifflin County, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Hazel (Kauffman) Sherlock. She was twice married, first to Elmer Brown who preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 1969, then second to Jack Leabhart who preceded her in death on Feb. 29, 1992.
