Services for Henry Clarence Shelton were held at 3:30 p.m. December 31, 1984 in Crossroads Baptist Church with the Revs. L. B. Williams and Danny Keyes and Dr. Calvin Phelps officiating. Burial was in Brown Cemetery under direction of Southern.

Shelton, 77, of Winnfield died at 5:18 p.m., Saturday in Humana Hospital, Winn Parish.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen Shelton of Winnfield; four sons, Cloy Shelton, David Shelton and Richard Shelton, all of Atlanta and Pat Shelton of Winnfield; six daughters, Clea [sic Cele] Thompson, Kay White and Wanda Porter, all of Winnfield, Jettie Moore of Montgomery, Linda Weatherford and Connie Ferguson, both of Atlanta; one brother, J. D. Shelton of Atlanta; three sisters, Arie [sic Artie] Smart of El Dorado, Ark., Angie Kelly of Winnfield and Ophelia Vercher of Montgomery; 36 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
