A celebration of life for Fay Shelton, of Gun Barrel City, will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Lifeline Church, 110 Welch Lane, Gun Barrel City. Fay was born Nov. 27, 1927 in Dallas to Joseph and Joyce (Cawthon) Wright and entered into eternal rest on June 21, 2014, at the age of 86. Fay worked at a daycare for 32 years and all knew her as "Miss Fay." She attended Lifeline Church. Miss Fay was a very loving and caring lady who will be missed by all who knew her.

Miss Fay was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vinson Allen Shelton Jr.; son, Steven Dale Shelton; and sister, Thea Jo Muson.

She is survived by son, David Allen Shelton and wife Elaine; daughter, Nancy Shelton; grandchildren, Jeremiah Brannan, Caleb Brannan and his wife Melynda, Staci Schell and husband Corey, Chad Shelton, Alana Johnson and her husband Aaron, Christopher Shelton and Rachel Shelton; great-grandchildren, Olin and Madison Brannan, Anakin and Aayla Johnson; sister-in-law, Patricia Miears; and other loving family members, many friends, nieces and nephews, Genesis Hospice and her beloved pup, Puddin.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Miss Fay to Lifeline Church, P.O. Box 1797, Mabank, 75147.
