Robert L. SHEETS, 72, North Mishawaka Street, Akron, died at 2:05 p.m. Friday in Fort Wayne Lutheran Hospital. He had been in failing health about a year. He was born Feb. 12, 1915 in Akron to Albert LeRoy and Goldie WILHOIT SHEETS. He had lived all his life in the Akron area. He was married Nov. 21, 1941 in Akron to Evelyn Dawn SECOR, who survives. He was retired from Safway Steel Products in Rochester. Surviving with the wife are a son, Stephen M. SHEETS, North Manchester, and two nephews, Arnold SHEETS, San Diego, Calif., and Dennis SHEETS, Indianapolis. A brother, Emerson SHEETS, preceded in death. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Foster & Good Funeral Home, Akron. Burial will be in the Akron Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and on Monday from 9 a.m. until services.
