Virginia Shawn Greene, 85, of Mathews, passed away Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, in Riverside Convalescent Center, Mathews, Va., after a long illness.
Virginia was a native of Mathews. She was a member of Mathews Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Linwood and Bernice Shawn; Her husband, Cecil R Greene Jr. and grandson, Erich Shawn Greene.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald S. Greene and wife Susan, and Michael Edward Greene and wife Frances; two grandchildren, Meredith H Greene and Michael E Greene. She is also survived by two special nieces, Karen S Bourque and Cheryl Ripley.
Interment at H.C. Smither Cemetery.
