Paradise – Our loving mother, Ferris Luta Shaw Goldsberry, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Legacy House in Logan Utah on March 9th 2008. Ferris was born April 2nd 1922 in Aurora, Sevier County, Utah. She was the youngest child of four children born to Blanche Ashby and Emeron Henry Shaw.

She graduated from North Sevier High School in 1940 and attended LDS Business College. She worked at Fort Douglass Utah as an accountant. She was married to Vincent B. Goldsberry on June 18th 1945 in the Logan LDS Temple. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Throughout her life she has served in many church callings. Her special love was Primary where she served for many years in many callings. She had a strong testimony and was a great example and inspiration to her children and their families.

She was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers where she served in many positions. She loved painting, sewing, crocheting, working in her garden and taking care of her family.

She is survived by one sister, Lola Parkinson, two daughters and three sons; Reneal (Robert) Trimble of Reno Nevada, Rosann Wilson of Paradise Utah, Lynn (Susan) Goldsberry of Millville Utah, Gordon (Audrie) Goldsberry of Brigham City Utah, and Clinton (Denise) Goldsberry of Hyrum Utah, 21 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, and one Sister.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday March 13th in the original Paradise Chapel. Interment will follow in the Paradise Cemetery. A viewing for friends and family will be held at Allen – Hall Mortuary, 34 E Center Street, Logan Utah From 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday March 12th and prior to services on Thursday March 13th from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Condolences may be sent to the family at Allen Mortuaries.

The family would like to thank the loving Hospice staff and the Legacy House staff for the care given our mother. And a very special thanks to the staff, who she loved deeply, at the Sunshine Terrace Day Center. She never forgot you!
